Botox is a bacterial toxin derived from Botulinum Toxin. Botox causes relaxation of the muscles to which it is applied. The main reason for wrinkles in the face and neck area is the contraction of the muscles in this area over the years. Most of the wrinkles around the eyes in the face area (also known as crow's feet), it is used in the treatment of upper lip wrinkles, wrinkles in the middle of the forehead and upper forehead, wrinkles on the nose, and wrinkles along the chin, lifting eyebrows and reducing under-eye bags.
Botox is always prescribed by a physician and a healthcare facility (clinics, clinics, hospitals, etc.) should be built. A good botox application can only be made by a person (physician) who knows the anatomy (muscle structure and distribution) of the area to be applied.
With the effect of aging, the self-renewal process of the skin begins to slow down. The skin is much drier and duller than before. Our plump and smooth facial features, which we had when we were young, lose their firmness and density due to the decrease of collagen and elastin fibers in the subcutaneous tissue as we age. The first fine lines on the face, deformations such as pits and collapses begin to appear. The skin is no longer as tight and smooth as before.
The aging process is a process that begins with a decrease in the amount of Hyaluronic Acid necessary to maintain the tension of the skin and the mobility of the joints. Hyaluronic acid is produced in the body and is an indispensable substance for our skin and can be obtained from many foods. But medical research shows that taking hyaluronic acid with food is not enough. To correct this situation, a sufficient amount of hyaluronic acid should be given to the skin from the outside.
Hyaluronic acid helps the skin to regain its youthful glow by preserving the elasticity of our skin. The amount of hyaluronic acid in our skin begins to decrease over time. Between the ages of 40-50, close to 50% disappear. The changes observed in our faces over time are naturally renewed thanks to the filling containing hyaluronic acid. Eliminates facial volume loss, defines lip lines, and adds volume. It helps to remove wrinkles.
After the age of 30, people begin to notice sagging, lack of elasticity, and wrinkles on their faces. Even though people apply fillings to their faces, it is not always a solution, especially a permanent one. The face begins to lose its shape overtime and the skin begins to sag. Special ropes are used in new treatments to fight the aging and sagging process of the skin. When these ropes are applied under the skin, it revitalizes and stretches the skin, resulting in a more youthful and fresh looking skin. This effect lasts for approximately 12–18 months. The production of new collagen is also stimulated thanks to the ropes. The effects of the rope application can be seen immediately
Anti-aging treatments are specifically designed to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, and sagging skin. These treatments are commonly performed on parts of the body that are most susceptible to the earliest signs of aging, such as the face, neck, and hands. Depending on the extent of the condition, treatment options range from over-the-counter anti-aging products such as creams and lotions to Botox injections and highly invasive surgical procedures such as a facelift. Each option comes with certain risks, so patients need to have a thorough discussion with their skincare and anti- aging specialists before undergoing any type of treatment.
Who Should Undergo & Expected Results?
Anti-aging treatments are highly recommended for those who are prone to developing wrinkles and fine lines, as well as those who have loose, sagging skin. People who usually take advantage of these treatments are those who are at least 30 years old. Research shows that these are more popular with the female population, however, more and more male patients are now starting to appreciate the benefits of anti-aging treatments.
Anti-aging treatments work in different ways, but they are mostly geared towards restoring the skin’s natural collagen supply. Collagen, a protein found in connective tissues, is responsible for maintaining the skin’s plumpness. However, due to the natural aging process, the body’s collagen supply tends to deteriorate over time.
Today, there are different techniques used to stimulate the production of collagen and with the help of new technologies, side effects such as damage to the topmost skin layer, are significantly minimized.
The expected results may differ depending on the type of treatment and the specific type of substance used. The most common types of ingredients in anti-aging treatments include:
- Retinol – A derivative of vitamin A, retinol is a milder form of retinoid. Although it can takes several weeks to take effect, it is proven to be highly effective in reducing wrinkles, unclogging pores, reducing the appearance of brown age spots, and improving the skin’s overall texture.
- Hyaluronic Acid – Hyaluronic acid is a popular humectant, a substance that draws water from the air, which makes it a natural and very effective moisturizer. It works great in hydrating the skin, and is found not only in prescription anti-aging medications and cosmetic treatments, but also in over-the-counter
- Niacinamide – Niacinamide works by preventing melanin from becoming visible. The overproduction of melanin causes pigmentation of the skin, which can cause sunspots and other unsightly marks and tags. This vitamin B3 derivative is typically used to treat acne scars, age spots, and sunspots by lightening them so they become less visible.
Regardless of whether the incisions caused by surgical procedures or accidents in our bodies are healed spontaneously or sutured during the recovery stage, the scars will always be persistent. The scar is the reaction of the skin to the injury and forms after the healing process. If these incisions heal spontaneously, the scars will be much more visible. However, if the incision is sutured appropriately in the early term and regular wound care is maintained, the scars will be minimized and barely seen.
The scars of aesthetic surgeries are also persistent. However, since the incisions are controlled and sutured properly and the scars are designed for the hidden areas; they will not be seen.
The scars vary depending on the genetics, region, age, race, skin type, and health status of the individual. The scars in the facial area heal well, whereas the scars in certain areas, particularly as anterior chest wall, heal poorly. Additionally, incisions that are parallel to the body lines heal well, whereas the vertical ones remain visible. In some people scars may heal to an extent that they cannot be seen, whereas they may be red and visible in others.
The main purpose of scar treatment is to prevent scars before they get worse. Therefore, postoperative wound care, the use of scar creams recommended by the doctor, and the use of sunscreens and moisturizers are very important.
The pigment called melanin determines the skin color of people. The skin gets darker based on the melanin content; increased content of pigment melanin causes sun spots, aging spots, and pregnancy spots (melasma). Furthermore, long-term sun exposure also makes the skin get older and provides a basis for wrinkles.
When these spots become visible, they may also be undesirable. Everybody dreams to get rid of them. After the detailed skin analysis is conducted at the clinic, we will help you with this.
But one should never forget that it is impossible to completely get rid of the spots. You should repeat your therapy every year because spots re-occur when they are exposed to sunlight. With regular treatments, they never go back to their worst state. Sun protection is the most critical part of the therapy. Therefore we can not perform the treatments in summer. In the summer months, only maintenance sessions can be allowed under strict control.
Additionally, a daily supplement of vitamin C and antioxidants are recommended. At the same time, it is very important to maintain the moisture balance of the skin. If cosmetical moisturizers are not enough to keep the skin hydrated hyaluronic acid injections can be done for optimal results.
We all start to get wrinkles as we get older, and most of us are not happy about it. We seek many solutions to solve this issue. Luckily, there are many solutions thanks to wrinkle treatments.
Injections such as Botox and fillers can be applied in order to reduce the wrinkles on our faces. The treatments cause the skin to stretch and also increase the production of collagen and elastin, which are components responsible for making the skin look younger. Plastic surgery procedures such as rope treatments, face lifts, and brow lifts are also effective against wrinkles, since these procedures surgically stretch the skin to a certain point. There are many other ways to fight wrinkles as we age. The opportunities never end.
Through natural peeling, a cocktail of natural ingredients is put together. The product is put on and applied throughout the whole face. This is a quick and easy procedure. This treatment helps to remove the excess dead skin from the face, allowing for new and healthy growth. Treatment is advised for every individual since the excess amount of dead skin on the face may lead to acne, oily skin, and other skin problems.
The Dermapen treatment system is a modern version of the micro needling system. This procedure is preferred on the face, hands, and neck and it is also suitable for all skin types. It can also be applied to sensitive areas thanks to the small and fine tip. The Dermapen is used to apply micro-needling to the skin, stimulating the production of elastin and collagen. The damaged areas of the skin are stimulated and encouraged to repair themselves swiftly. The application process runs smoothly and comfortably thanks to the anesthetic creams that are applied. The results are seen after 6 weeks of the procedure, and the peak rate of the effects are reached 3 months later.
Platelets (blood clotting cells) are available in our blood and their main function is to ensure clotting. These cells contain many growth factors. Especially the platelet-rich part of our blood can be separated, and these intracellular factors can be used to improve skin quality. It acts by increasing collagen production and vascularization after intradermal administration. It reduces fine wrinkles on the skin and gives a bright, elastic, and vital appearance. It helps regenerate the skin faster, in case of skin damage after sunlight, UV damage, and skin treatments such as laser or peeling. It is also used to prevent hair loss and strengthen thin hair and increase the hair density.
It can be applied to the face, neck, décolleté, hands, and scalp. It can be administered to the skin at multiple points by microinjection method. It can also be combined with a derma pen. First, approximately 10 ccs of blood are collected from the person. This blood is processed with special kits, made ready, and applied depending on the needs of the person. It does not require anesthesia. The procedure takes about 40-45 minutes. After the application, it is recommended not to wash the face, wear make-up, have a massage, or do movements such as bending and lying for 2 -3 hours.
Redness, swelling, and/or bruising may occur in the application sites. For optimum outcome, at least 3 sessions at intervals of 2-3 weeks should be taken. Repeated sessions may be required depending on the needs of the person.
Laser treatment in dermatology is mostly used for the removal of stains on the skin, tattoo removal, and varicose vein treatments. However, laser treatment is mostly preferred for the removal of body hair. A small minority of the population has hormonal issues which hinder them from getting laser epilation treatment for their body hair, as the hormones enable the body to grow hair. To battle this, hormonal treatments are advised while also getting laser epilation treatment at the same time.
The laser system targets the roots of hair follicles by applying high heat in milliseconds. Parts that are outside of the hair roots are not harmed since the laser only aims for the hair. During the treatment, a slight amount of a burning sensation can be felt. However, using anesthetic cremes before the treatment and cooling systems during the treatment can reduce the pain to a minimum. The ability to tolerate pain varies from person to person.
Every part of the body can be treated with laser epilation. The amount of hair is different between men and women. It also changes throughout each body part. The laser devices can deliver the required amount of laser shots and heat depending on each individual's color of skin and also the type and color of their hair. Thus, laser epilation is suitable for everyone.
Hair mesotherapy is the best treatment for hair loss, weak and matt hair. The given treatment is conducted by injecting the required fluids directly into the scalp where all the hair roots are. Hair mesotherapy is conducted for approximately 8–10 sessions. After the treatment, the effects can be immediately seen. The duration between each session is 7–15 days. After 1-week, stronger hair can be seen while also witnessing a reduction in hair loss.
Some individuals may find it difficult to get leaner through executing a diet, especially in some stubborn areas. Through plastic surgery and regional thinning techniques, people are now able to get rid of those stubborn areas.
Liposuction is applied when it is necessary to remove excess fat from a stubborn area which consists of a high amount of fat. The procedure is conducted by putting a special vacuum under the skin which removes the fat underneath.
Laser liposuction on the other hand, is not conducted through a vacuum. The laser burns away the fat through small incisions. As a result, there is less scarring and bruising when compared to the traditional liposuction method.
The lipolysis method is preferred in patients where skin elasticity is not lost much and in cases where the adipose tissue to be removed from the body is not too much. In this application, the fat melted with the laser is allowed to be removed from the body without opening any cannulas. Lipolysis is also faster, more practical, and the healing process is more comfortable as incisions are not made and cannulas are not opened.
Smooth Shape is a very similar application to lipolysis. The medical device with an international certificate used in vacuuming with laser is also used in the smooth shape method. The type of laser to be used in this application varies according to the color of the skin. The laser accelerates the process of reaching the inside of the tissue and affecting it by means of a vacuum without being held above the skin. The vacuum effect will also tighten the skin and remove any cellulite in the application area, if any. As with laser lipolysis, the fats are excreted naturally by the body and not through the cannulas. After the application sessions, the patient can return to his or her daily life without any problems.
